Since chemicals revert to their natural state, making a soap that is not water-based means you get to enjoy a longer lasting bar compared to a beauty bar down your local supermarket (think of butter vs. water in room temperature). A harder bar means more fun in the long run!

SCENT PROFILE - FRESH/HERBAL
Lavender can be described as a combination of floral and herbal notes that are elevated together in a very light camphor-like finish. It is one of the most popular and versatile essential oils that can be found world-wide. 
 
Historically, our love of lavender could be traced back to the days of the Roman Empire. The name comes from the Latin, word ‘lavere’ which means ‘to wash’. It has been said that it has been used as a fragrant oil for baths since antiquity. In Medieval times, lavender was placed on the floors of churches and homes and used to scent linen and clothing.
 
 
SKIN
The base of this soap is made up of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut oil, Mango, Shea and Cocoa Butter. This combination contain vitamins A, C, E, K and F and is rich in fatty acids such as:
 
Linoleic + Lenolenic
Lauric
Palmitic
Rinoleic
Stearic
Oleic
Myristic
 
The combination of natural fats are also great for moisturizing, hydrating and nourishing the skin. Castor Oil brings out the good qualities of the soap in fine creamy lather, rich in ricinoleic acid. This natural moisturizing effect contributes to keeping skin feeling soft and smooth. 
We have added Cocoa Butter to help in hydrating and improving skin elasticity. It is gentle on skin and helps forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture.
 
HAIR
Shea Butter is rich in Vitamin E and easily absorbed by the hair as it effectively mimics the oils naturally found on your skin. It yields a high NSL (Nonsaponifiable Lipids) percentage of 5-15% making it ideal for repairing damaged and broken hair such as in the case of 'split ends'. As it is absorbed, it begins by sealing any existing cracks which strengthens your hair leaving it smooth and shiny. As for Coconut oil, studies have shown that it is absorbed deep into the hair shaft to provide a high level of protection in relation to other oils and minerals. It is also acts as a perfect natural conditioner and softener for your hair.
